The Political Science S R Myneni Pdfl is an introduction to the basic principles of American Government for students who are interested in acquiring a comprehensive understanding of the principles and institutions of American Politics. This introductory text also provides an extensive survey of the history, politics, and government in the United States. This Pdfl will be used in many schools around America, but is not restricted to these schools only. The political science topic it deals with is used in all other parts of America as well. With this Pdfl, one can make sense about every area that deals with politics; social studies classes or law classes. The authors of this Pdfl are Benjamin Ginsberg, who is the author of many other books. His partner in this book was Barbara Norrander, who is the author of many other books as well. This Pdfl consists of thirty six chapters with index and glossary. It has eight units that have an introduction, objectives, learning outcomes, review questions, activity material for class assignments and references at the end of each unit. The chapters are organized into eight units that concentrate on different aspects of American Politics. The subjects covered in this Pdfl include the importance of America’s political system, elections, government institutions at federal level, government institutions at state levels and local levels as well as bureaucracy in America. The contents of the Pdfl are divided into several sections. Some chapters cover all the areas of political science in America, but in different chapters. The following is a list of the topics that are covered in each chapter:The text consists of different literary types. These include narrative paragraphs, interviews, case studies, statistics and diagrams. Moreover, each chapter has various points that students need to be aware of when they read it. These are listed under ‘Key Points’ which are printed next to every exercise at the end of every section. These exercises also consist of various point mnemonics which can be used for quizzing or for one-to-one interaction with students at the end of each section. The glossary is at the end of each chapter and gives a full explanation of all the terms used in that chapter. And finally, the Pdfl finishes off with an index so that students can easily look for a topic they want. The index contains a full list of all topics, people and places mentioned in the book. There are different opinions about this book from the different people who have reviewed them. "Dr. Charles A. Beitzinger" has said that, "The editors have assembled an excellent text for undergraduate courses on American government... This is one of the best American Government textbooks I have seen." Dr professor Steven Rathgeb Smith says that this is "the best single volume introduction to American politics now available. Students will find this text readable and attractive...the authors very effectively combine an analytical approach to each of the major issues with attention to historical context. This is an extremely useful text." There are also some negative reviews that talk about the book in a very negative way. Dr. Dennis Tompkins, who is a professor at "Texas A&M University", said that this Pdfl is "a little disappointing". He said that it has many facts, but doesn’t have much detail about the facts.
